Son la Dinastia was founded on September 2013 in Puebla (Mexico) with 11 , 6 from Cuba and 5 from Mexico. Their leader is the singe, composer and arranger Lester Ciarreta (Cuban), who was previously founder of the renowned orchestra Salsa Mayor, now directed by Maykel Blanco, who had been invited to be part of the orchestra by Lester himself, and performed with Pupy y los que Son Son, Azucar Negra y Leonel Limonta, Orlando Maraca and Bakuleye. The orchestra was founded with the intention of entertaining the audience with Tropical and Caribbean music, mambo, guaracha, danzón, traditional son cubano, salsa, cumbia, boleros and a wide range of popular rhythms from Cuba and Central America. Their first album “Somos lo que tu querias” sees the participation of many of his Cuban and Mexican musicias, and will be released on mid 2014.
